Living in Livingston, MT: Why I love calling it home

Nestled along the Yellowstone River, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, Livingston, Montana, is a place that truly captures the spirit of Big Sky Country. With its historic downtown, welcoming community and endless outdoor recreation, it's easy to see why so many people are choosing to call Livingston home.

For me Livingston has become so much more than a place to live. After spending eight wonderful years in Bozeman, my family and I made the move to Livingston about a year ago. While Bozeman will always hold a special place in my heart we've completely fallen in love with the slower paced, close knit community, and incredible scenery that Livingston has to offer.

One of my favorite things about living here is how peaceful it feels while still being incredibly convenient. We enjoy having a little more space, beautiful mountain views in every direction and the opportunity to raise our family in a community where neighbors truly care about one another. At the same time, we're only about a 30 minute drive  from Bozeman, making it easy to enjoy everything the Gallatin valley has to offer.

Outdoor Adventure Around Every Corner

If you love spending time outdoors, Livingston is hard to beat. The Yellowstone River flows right through town, offering incredible opportunities for fly fishing, kayaking, and peaceful walks along the river. Paradise valley is just minutes away, providing access to hiking, camping, horseback riding, and breathtaking views, while Yellowstone National Park is close enough for unforgettable day trips.

Homes for every lifestyle

One of the things I appreciate most about Livingston, is the variety of homes available. From charming historic houses near downtown to newer neighborhoods, townhomes and properties with acreage and panoramic mountain views there's something here for every lifestyle and every stage of life.

A Historic Downtown Full of Character

Livingston's charming downtown is filled with locally owned boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries, and beautifully preserved historic buildings. Whether you're grabbing coffee with friends, browsing local shops, or attending one of many community events throughout the year, there's always something happening that brings people together.
